disconnect()

Disconnects from the Wi-Fi network, but leaves the Wi-Fi module on.

WiFi.disconnect();

Since 6.6.0:

If the cloud connection is using this network interface, WiFi.disconnect() will first disconnect from the cloud. When the interface goes down, the cloud session is also disconnected, and the session is resumed when the interface reconnects.
