Canada 2G/3G Sunset

3G sunset

Most carriers will have sunset 3G by December 31, 2025. After this date, 2G/3G device will not be able to connect in Canada!

Rogers

Rogers has announced the shutdown of their 3G network on July 31, 2025.

Bell Mobility

Bell Mobility is expected to sunset 3G on December 31, 2025.

Telus

Telus is expected to sunset 3G on December 31, 2025.

2G sunset

All carriers supported by Particle SIMs have sunset 2G.

Recommendations

It is recommended that LTE Cat M1 devices such as the Boron LTE (BRN404X), B-Series SoM B40X, Tracker SoM (T404), or M-SoM (M404) be used in Canada, as well as the United States and Mexico.
